Instructions:
Boil the Dal:
- Wash and soak all dals together for 30–45 minutes.
- Pressure cook with turmeric and salt for 3–4 whistles or until soft.
Prepare the Tempering:
- Heat ghee in a pan. Add cumin seeds, followed by garlic, ginger, and green chilies.
- Add onions and sauté till golden. Add tomatoes, red chili powder, and cook until soft.
Combine:
- Pour the cooked dal into the pan, mix well, and simmer for 5–7 minutes.
- Adjust consistency with water if needed. Garnish with coriander.
