Introduction

  1. Ingredients:
  • 1 cup dried yellow/white peas, soaked overnight
  • 1/2 tsp cooking soda
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp mustard oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 tbsp grated ginger
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • 2 green chilies, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

  2. In a separate pan, heat mustard oil and add cumin seeds and bay leaf.
  3. Add ginger, onions, and green chilies; sauté until onions are translucent.
