Singju

Introduction
Singju is a vibrant Manipuri salad that combines raw vegetables with roasted spices and fermented fish, resulting in a crunchy and flavorful dish.
- Ingredients:
- 1 cup cabbage, shredded
- 1 cup raw papaya, shredded
- 1/2 cup lotus stem, thinly sliced
- 1 small onion, thinly sliced
- 1-inch piece of ginger, julienned
- 8-10 basil leaves, chopped
- 1 tsp fresh garlic leaves, chopped
- 2 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped
- 1/2 cup boiled white peas
- 1 tbsp roasted chickpea powder (satu)
- 2 roasted red chilies, crushed
- 1/2 tsp roasted perilla seeds
- 1/4 tsp black salt
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Instructions:
- In a large bowl, combine all the vegetables and herbs.
- Add the roasted chickpea powder, crushed chilies, perilla seeds, black salt, and lemon juice.
- Mix thoroughly until well combined.
