Introduction
Koonthal Varuthathu is spicy fried squid, marinated in red chili, turmeric, and fried till crispy.
Ingredients:
500g squid rings
1 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp turmeric
Salt
Curry leaves
Coconut oil
Instructions:
Marinate squid with spices for 20 mins.
Fry in coconut oil until golden. Add curry leaves at the end.
Pro Tips:
Don’t overcook squid—it turns rubbery.
Serving Suggestions:
Serve as starter or with Kerala parotta.
