Introduction
Babru is a Himachali deep-fried snack made from wheat flour and sweet black gram filling. It is often offered during temple rituals and festivals like Dussehra.

  1. Preparing the Dough
    Ingredients:
  • 1 cup wheat flour

  • Water to knead

Instructions:

  • Knead soft dough and let rest 20 minutes.

    Ingredients:
  • ½ cup black urad dal (soaked & ground)

  • 2 tbsp jaggery

  • Fennel and cardamom

Instructions:

  • Mix ground dal with jaggery and spices. Cook till thick.

  • Fill small dough balls with mixture, roll and deep-fry until golden.
