A dry curry Origin: Bengal

Introduction
A dry curry made with banana blossoms, potatoes, and coconut, seasoned with aromatic Bengali spices.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups banana blossom (mocha, chopped and boiled)
  • 1 potato (cubed)
  • 2 tbsp grated coconut
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 tbsp mustard oil

Instructions
Boil chopped mocha till soft.
Fry potatoes, add mocha, coconut, and spices, cook till dry.

  • Clean banana blossom properly to remove bitterness.
  • A pinch of garam masala at the end enhances taste.
