Tribal Rice Roti Origin: Chandigarh

Introduction

Angakar Roti is a thick, rustic flatbread made with rice flour, popular in tribal belts of Bastar and Dantewada. It’s nutritious, filling, and usually served with chutneys or dry sabzis.

Ingredients:

  • 5 cups rice flour
  • 1 onion, green chili, coriander leaves
  • Salt, water

Instructions:

  • Mix flour, chopped veggies, salt.
  • Add hot water and knead soft dough.
  • Pat flat by hand on banana leaf or plastic sheet.
  • Roast on tawa till both sides are slightly charred.
