Bafla Bati

Origin: Madhya Pradesh
Introduction
A Malwa-region delicacy — wheat dough balls boiled in water, baked, and then drenched in ghee, served with dal.
Ingredients:
- Wheat flour
- Ghee
- Ajwain, salt
- Dal (pigeon pea or mixed lentils)
Instructions:
- Make stiff dough with wheat flour, ajwain, and ghee.
- Shape into balls and boil in salted water till they float.
- Bake or roast till golden.
- Dip in ghee and serve with dal.

- Boiling before baking makes them soft inside and crisp outside.
- Always serve hot with generous ghee.
