Introduction
A dense and delicious halwa made from Bengal gram dal, rich in protein and ghee — often reserved for special winter occasions in UP and Bihar.
Ingredients
1 cup chana dal (soaked)
1 cup ghee
1 cup sugar
2 cups milk
Cardamom, almonds
Instructions
Grind soaked dal coarsely.
Roast in ghee till golden and aromatic.
Add milk, cook till thick. Add sugar and cardamom, cook further.
