Introduction
Fada Lapsi is a wholesome sweet dish made from broken wheat, jaggery, and ghee, commonly offered in Jain temples and during auspicious occasions like Diwali and pujas.

  1. Cooking the Base
    Ingredients:
  • ½ cup broken wheat (dalia/fada)
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 2 cups hot water

Instructions:

  • Roast fada in ghee until golden.
  • Add hot water and cook till soft.
  1. Adding Sweetness
    Ingredients:
  • ½ cup jaggery
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1 tbsp chopped nuts

Instructions:

  • Mix jaggery into cooked wheat and simmer.
  • Add cardamom and garnish with nuts.

  • Use a thick-bottomed pan to prevent sticking.
  • Adjust jaggery based on sweetness preference.
