Green Coconut & Jaggery Dumplings Origin: Andhra Pradesh

Introduction
A sweet dumpling prasadam offered in Sita Rama temples, combining fresh coconut, rice flour, and jaggery.

  1. Preparing the Rice Dough
    Ingredients:
  • 2 cups rice flour

  • Salt, warm water to bind

Instructions:

  • Mix flour with warm salted water into a soft dough.

  1. Making the Filling
    Ingredients:
  • 1 cup grated fresh coconut

  • ½ cup jaggery

  • A pinch of cardamom

Instructions:

  • Cook coconut and jaggery until jaggery melts. Add cardamom.

  1. Shaping & Cooking
    Instructions:
  • Shape dough into rounds, fill with coconut mix, seal.

  • Steam or boil until firm.

  1. Serving Suggestions
  • Serve warm as temple-style sweet offering.
