Cashew-Based Ganesh Chaturthi Sweet Origin: Maharashtra

Introduction
Kaju Modak is a modern take on the traditional modak, using sweetened cashew paste instead of rice flour for a melt-in-the-mouth texture.

Ingredients:
 1 cup cashew powder
½ cup sugar
1 tbsp milk
Cardamom, saffron

Instructions:
 Make sugar syrup, add powdered cashew, cook into a dough.
Shape into modaks using moulds.

 Cool the dough slightly before shaping to prevent sticking.
