Introduction
A simple, dry stir-fried curry made from raw bananas, tempered with cumin and spices. It’s a go-to fasting food in North India.
Ingredients
2–3 raw bananas (peeled, cubed)
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp ginger paste
½ tsp turmeric, ½ tsp red chili powder
Salt, ghee/oil
Instructions
Boil banana pieces till tender.
Heat oil, add cumin and ginger paste.
Add spices, sauté, then mix in boiled bananas. Cook for 5–7 minutes.
Pro Tips
Don’t overboil the bananas to avoid mushiness.
Serving Suggestions
Perfect with puri or as a dry side with dal-chawal.
