Introduction
Komolar Kheer is a unique dessert made using milk and orange pulp, often served as naivedya in Assamese homes during winter festivals.

  1. Milk Base
    Ingredients:
  • 1 liter full-fat milk

  • ¼ cup sugar

  • Boil and reduce milk to half. Add sugar and cool slightly.

    Ingredients:
  • 1 cup deseeded orange segments (without juice)

Instructions:

  • Once milk is lukewarm, gently fold in orange pieces. Do not boil after this.

This kheer is only made in winter when citrus is in season and is also popular during Bhogali Bihu.
