Introduction
Narali Bhat is a traditional Maharashtrian sweet coconut rice made during Narali Purnima, offered to the sea and in temples across the Konkan coast.
- Cooking the Rice Base
Ingredients:
- 1 cup basmati rice
- 1.5 cups coconut milk
- ½ cup grated coconut
- ½ cup jaggery
Instructions:
- Cook rice until fluffy. Add jaggery, coconut, and coconut milk. Simmer gently.

Ingredients:
- Cardamom, cloves
- Ghee, cashews
Instructions:
- Temper ghee with spices and pour over rice. Garnish with fried cashews.
