Introduction

Patoleo (or Patoli) are sweet turmeric-leaf parcels stuffed with jaggery and coconut, steamed and served during Hindu festivals like Nag Panchami.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup rice flour
  • ½ cup grated coconut
  • ½ cup jaggery
  • Turmeric leaves

Instructions:

  • Mix jaggery and coconut for stuffing.
  • Spread rice paste on turmeric leaf, add stuffing.
  • Fold and steam for 10–12 mins.

  • Fresh turmeric leaves add aromatic flavor.
