Spicy Gram Flour Curry Origin: Maharashtra

Introduction

A rustic, quick-cooked dish made with gram flour, onions, and chilies—often called the farmer’s comfort food.

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup besan
  • 1 onion
  • Green chilies, garlic
  • Water, turmeric, salt

Instructions:

  1. Sauté onions and spices.
  2. Mix besan with water, add to pan.
  3. Cook till thick and lump-free.

  • Stir continuously to avoid lumps.
  • Adjust consistency for dry or wet version.

Eat with bhakri or rice and green chili thecha.
