Lentil-stuffed Flatbread
Origin: Uttar Pradesh / Bihar
Introduction
A prasadam in several North Indian temples, Sattu Paratha uses roasted chana flour and spices for nutritious offerings.
- Preparing Stuffing
Ingredients:
- 1 cup sattu (roasted gram flour)
- Spices: chili powder, roasted cumin, coriander, salt
- Water or yogurt
Instructions:
- Mix sattu with spices and binding liquid.
- Stuffing & Cooking

- Roll dough, fill with sattu mix, seal.
- Cook paratha on tawa with ghee/oil.
- Serving Suggestions
- Served warm with dal or curd as temple meal.
