Sattu Paratha

Lentil-stuffed Flatbread Origin: Uttar Pradesh / Bihar

Introduction
A prasadam in several North Indian temples, Sattu Paratha uses roasted chana flour and spices for nutritious offerings.

  1. Preparing Stuffing
    Ingredients:
  • 1 cup sattu (roasted gram flour)

  • Spices: chili powder, roasted cumin, coriander, salt

  • Water or yogurt

Instructions:

  • Mix sattu with spices and binding liquid.

  1. Stuffing & Cooking
    Ingredients:
  • Whole wheat dough

Instructions:

  • Roll dough, fill with sattu mix, seal.

  • Cook paratha on tawa with ghee/oil.

  1. Serving Suggestions
  • Served warm with dal or curd as temple meal.
